Possibililties for EVERYTHING online

Don't buy in to all of the ads that say you can make money ONLY by clicking here, reading this or that and then you'll collect money. The ones that imply that 'All You Have To Do Is...'

Also - Don't buy all the crap that says you can NEVER earn REAL MONEY with clicks and read-for-pay programs.

Please beware of statements that are far off to one side of the Always-Never continuum. There are always possibilities in the middle!

Though there are even very LEGITIMATE read for pay sites out there, they usually don't provide each individual with enough reading material to make a really decent payout possible on a regular basis.

The Solution(s):

1. Basic email marketing tactics to gain referrals and build a mailing list
2. Forum promotion tactics (posting in forums and displaying the URL of your choice program in your forum signature) - combined with list-building, email follow-up
3. Traffic Exchanges, both manual and auto - combined with 'email capture' methods
4. Word of mouth, combined with email follow-up
5. Banner exchanges - combined with leading to a squeeze page for 'email capture'
(* Hint - all LIST-BUILDING TECHNIQUES, and all about EMAIL!!)

There are a lot of other methods for promotion, too, but I didn't intend this post to be about every method of promotion. I intended to make a post to alleviate some of the 'ABSOLUTE' statements that go around online all the time. Also, I thought it best to show how important EMAILING is for making money online.

Basically, you CAN TOO earn money online with ONLY "Paid To Perform" programs, however, you must still learn some of the same 'marketing tactics' that other kinds of businesses use online.

You will rarely see a windfall with just clicking, reading emails and signing up for trial programs. This is the 'scammy' part of program advertising (being told that small actions and minimal effort are all there is to making money online), however, if there wasn't a way to really earn online, all the PTC (Paid to Click), PTSU (Paid To Sign Up), PTR (Paid To Read) and PTP (Paid To Promote/Participate) programs online would just fall away completely.

The TRUTH:

These programs DO PROVIDE people with ways to earn good money.

The part of TRUTH that is missing from most promotions:

These programs require EXPERIENCE in the field of (email) marketing for individuals to actually make good money.
(*Another hint - think 'autoresponder').

Most programs only give out the 'possible' outcome of participating in the program but will not show you how to accomplish making money with the program.

In this - most PTC, PTSU, PTR, and PTP programs make a KILLING on user upgrades from NEWBIES who still don't know how to promote effectively, build a referral base and market themselves and their programs online. The sites will take the money and run. They're not breaking any rules - they're just putting out the 'opportunity.' It is up to clients, users, members to learn how the programs work.

Because of this, I am still involved in a few PTC, PTR and similar programs but I don't promote to full extent. I have other interests and am much more interested in Product Creation, Proof reading and Editing, Writing, Resales and Hard-Copy products.

The PTCs, etc., that I'm still involved with provide me with some affordable advertising opportunities, exposure for my other interests, and are beneficial to me in other ways - even if I don't upgrade and market an entirely PTC-based affiliate business.

I'm providing this information because I have had some emails recently from members I chat with in PTC/PTR forums who like my blogs and KNOW that I am present in PTC/PTR circles but they always wonder why I don't put PTC/PTR information on my blogs when I'm obviously having some success with the programs.

The truth is - because PTC/PTR isn't my main earning interest. I use these programs as part of my 'toolbox' for earning online, not as my main source of earning online.

I have made a choice not to participate fully in marketing these programs, simply because my interests and skills lie elsewhere. Frankly, I'm not very good at keeping organized with the number of PTC and PTR programs that I feel I would need to be involved with in order to earn a good living. That's my downfall - I don't organize my sets of programs well, so it would be a disaster for me to make these programs my main source of online income. I engage more with 'already organized' programs, downline builders, and affiliate centre programs instead. These programs keep everything organized FOR ME.

People who do well with PTR and PTC-ing seem to be very VERY good organizers! A few of my acquaintances are still baffled as to why I don't 'get on their boat' but the truth is - They are more organized and more creative with organizational methods than I am. They have organized their autoresponders, PTC/PTR Lessons for referral training, and are organized with providing help to the participant of the programs they promote.

I caved and looked for easier programs, plain and simple. I post on blogs and 'wing-it' with whoever comes by to read my material. My PTC/PTR Peers stay in better contact with their 'list' of readers and participants.

Which brings me around to the first points on this blog post. My acquaintances who are earning good money with programs that most people label as 'distasteful' and 'total scam programs,' are doing so in legal, organized ways. They are using the same kinds of tools and methods that many other fields of marketing and money earning use:

Autoresponders, email marketing, list-building.

I'll let readers think about this for a bit while I go check my email - I made sure to send out a few emails to 'friends' to let them know that I finally posted on my blog about the validity of PTC/PTR-ing. Hopefully when they visit the blog, they will feel supported now!
